Columbus will host the State Hispanic Youth Summit for the first time this year. Some 600 students from across the state will come to the Columbus for a day of learning and inspiration on October 30th.
The event is coordinated by the Nebraska Department of Education and Latino American Commission, with a focus on encouraging education and leadership among Nebraska high school students.
This year’s Summit will feature off-site tours of CCC-Columbus and Behlen Mfg. Co. Virtually all of Nebraska’s higher educational institutions will be present.
Presenting sponsors include the Latino-American Commission, Nebraska Public Power District, and Nebraska Community Foundation.
